Posted by Name of the person posting. May 12th, 2010
The Project of supporting the financing of small and medium-sized enterprises, implemented to strengthen the SME, is a structural answer of the government to the recurring problem of access of the SME to the financing by facilitating the access of 200 of them to the bank credit through Banks.
The project, on the occasion of its launching ceremony, offered a financing of 350 million FCFA to 35 entrepreneurships.
It will cover a period of 5 years (2009/2013) and will cost more than 2,6 billion FCFA. The financing is assured by the government (595 millions, either 22,08 % of the total cost), the BRS Bank (2 billion FCFA, or 74,21 %) and the beneficiaries (100 million FCFA, or 3,71 %).
It is planned to create a mechanism of financing of 200 loans in SME and similar projects which will be guaranteed by the Fund of company’s development (FDE) and guaranteed by the fund given by the government.
These efforts will have to allow the private sector to completely play the role of control lever of supporting the economic growth, the supplier of long-term jobs and the contributors in the reduction of the poverty.
